Problem Statement:
A non-franchise, small commercial cleaning company has a desire to increase top line growth but is uncertain what marketing and sales methods will work. The owner had a small budget and is considering Yellow Page listing. We were asked to evaluate the business and recommend possible marketing and sales solutions.

Analysis:
The owner was initially planning to take on telemarketing himself as well as perform associated proposal work, follow-up, and closing the sale. The budget was tight, therefore, hiring a telemarketer full time was not possible. The contact management system being used was lacking in features to effectively automate the sales process. The computer system in the small office was not properly configured for optimum reliablity. Marketing materials were marginally professional for the target prospects.

Recommendation:
We offered to improve the contact management system, stablize/maintain the computer network, staff the telemarketing efforts (part time), and consulted on brand/image improvement. The total proposed costs were less than the client's budget.

Results:
Following implementation the client's top line growth tripled in one year. Ad Value still maintains and upgrades the contact management system as well as supports the companies promotions. The company has recently been nominated for Small Business of the Year.
